The Campus Community Players present “Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays” July 25-28 at 7:30 p.m. and July 29 at 2:00 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre in the Laird Fine Arts Building.
Award-winning playwrights offer unique takes on the moments before, during, and after “I do,” exploring marriage from a perspective of people formerly denied this tradition in a witty, warm, courageous, and humorous fashion. These short plays, performed by an ensemble cast, are vows to the blessings of equality, the universal challenges of relationships, and the often hilarious power of love.
Written by Mo Gaffney, Jordan Harrison, Moisés Kaufman, Wendy MacLeod, José Rivera, Paul Rudnick, and Doug Wright; conceived by Brian Shnipper. Directed by Roxie Wetterau.
