International Program Admission Information
The admission requirements for students who are not residents of the United States vary from those outlined in the UW Colleges catalog for U.S. residents. International applicants are admitted on the basis of their academic preparation, their ability to effectively understand and use the English language and the determination by the international admissions office that their educational and career goals may be furthered by attendance at a UW Colleges campus.
To be admitted to the program international students must have:
- Completion of the UW-Stevens Point English as a Second Language Program (conditional admission).
- TOEFL iBT: Score of 78 and above, with minimum scores of 17 in the speaking and writing sections. UW-Stevens Point code is 1919.
- IELTS: Score of 6.0 or above, with no sub-score below 5.5. Official IELTS results should be sent directly to the UW-Stevens Point Admissions Office.
Priority international application deadlines are June 1 (for fall semester) and November 1 (for spring semester). Applications received after these dates will be reviewed individually but may need to be deferred until a later semester.
