Men's Basketball
UW-Marshfield/Wood County we provide an excellent opportunity for young men to play competitive basketball at the junior-college level. If you are a high school player interested in playing at the next level, contact Coach Chris Linzmeier.

Coach Linzmeier is in his eighth season as head coach of the Marauders men's basketball team. He was awarded “Coach of the Year” by the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference in 1999-2000 and 2002-2003. UW-Marshfield/Wood County has an overall record of 116-59 under Coach Linzmeier and a conference record of 56-22. Under Linzmeier, the Marauder men have won five out of the last six Marshfield Classic Tournaments. His teams have also won the Western Division of the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference four times, three Wisconsin Collegiate Conference tournament championships, and have qualified for two trips to the WJAA Tournament.

Five of his players -- Brad Fischer, Dan Linzmeier, Kyle Lord, Derek Lemmens and Jon Linzmeier -- have been awarded All-State status. In addition, several of his players have earned All-Conference honors.

Linzmeier earned a BA from UW-Stevens Point with a major in social studies. He and his wife Margie have three sons.
