Jewell Scholarship

Amount of Award:

Amount varies

Eligibility:

New freshmen
New transfer students
Continuing students

General Criteria: High school seniors must meet two out of three criteria to be considered:

§         
Graduate in the upper 30% of HS class
§          Have minimum ACT score of 21 (or comparable SAT score)
§         
Graduate with minimum GPA of 3.0

Transfer students
must have a 3.0 GPA on at least 12 transferable college credits in at least one semester of full-time attendance at another college or university.

Continuing students must have accumulated 12 credits in at least one full-time semester of attendance at UW-Marshfield/Wood County, earning a minimum of 3.0 GPA.

Specific Criteria:
  •  Must be a graduate of any Marshfield high school

  • Preference given to students majoring in business/economics

  • Selection based on prior academic performance, higher education aptitude tests; instructor and other recommendations

Application Requirements:
  • Submit letter(s) of recommendation

  • Submit Scholarship Application and essay by March 15

  • If new freshman, high school to send complete transcript with ACT/SAT scores by March 15

  • Admitted as full-time student for fall semester

  • Renewable for second year
