I'm Lovin' The Wood!

Welcome to our Web Page for Prospective Students.  I’m Patrick Neuenfeldt, and I’m in my second year here at UW-Marshfield/Wood County.  I’m majoring in secondary education.  I’m also a Work Study student employed in our Student Services Office, and I’m a Student Ambassador.  If you’re looking for a campus tour, I’m your guy!

When I was a junior at  Owen-Withee, I remember getting tons of mail from colleges all over the country.  Talk about too much information!  But after I finally sifted through all those brochures, applications and promises, I found my best option was right here at home.

UW-Marshfield/Wood County offered me the lowest tuition in Wisconsin.  I’m doing my first two years here – saving more than $2,000 in tuition alone – before transferring to UW-Madison to finish my junior and senior years.  And I’m living at home – saving the cost of room and board. Click here to see how those savings add up!

Best of all, my credits will transfer – guaranteed!  (For more information on that, check out the “Transfer Information” link at the top of this page.)

I can tell you how great it is to be in small classes, with incredibly knowledgeable professors who are really willing to give you one-on-one instruction if you need it.  I could tell you about the great clubs, organizations and athletic opportunities.  But see for yourself.  Check out the links on this page.  And if you have any further questions, drop the Student Services staff a line.

Hope to see you on Preview Day – April 2, 1:30-4:30 p.m.
