Learning Clusters

The faculty and staff here at UW-Marshfield/Wood County are committed to seeing students succeed.  That's why we've developed Freshmen Learning Clusters.  This initiative provides an engaging new course option that allows you to take three thematically linked classes, while working on your general education requirements.  Learning Clusters will help you work closely with faculty, make new friends, form study groups and attend campus events with other freshmen.  This fall, themes will include Business and Ethics, Nature in Crisis, and The Constitution:  Heroic or Compromised?

We understand that your freshman year can be challenging.  That's why each cluster includes Lec 100 - which is offered to new students and includes time management, test taking, and study skills. This class in particular will help you connect with faculty and classmates during your first semester on campus.
