Interlibrary Loans
The library can obtain books and other materials for you that
are not available in our library. This service is known as
"interlibrary
loan," or "ILL."
How to Use Inter-Library Loan
- Identify the citation of the item that you wish to
utilize.
- Fill out a yellow ILL request form. These forms are
available at the Circulation Desk as well as at all of the
computer terminals in the library.
- To request a book, we require the following information:
- Author or editor's name
- Title of the book
- Publisher's name and date of publication
- Your name and phone number
- To request a journal article, we need this information:
- Author and title of article
- Title and date of the journal
- Volume number and issue number (if known)
- Page number of the article
- Your name and phone number
- Return the completed ILL form to the Circulation Desk.
- Depending on location of the item, 7 to 10 days are
required to
receive an item through ILL.
- Books can be used for 3 - 4 weeks and renewals may be
requested before the due date.
- Journal articles are copied for you and do not need to be
returned.
UW-Marshfield/Wood County borrows hundreds of items each
year through ILL. Let us know what you need and we will do
our best to get it for you!
