The University Foundation provides financial support for students, faculty and staff, and various campus programs and activities, including scholarships, professional development, the arts, athletics, and emerging campus needs. The University Foundation funds an array of merit and need-based scholarships for new, continuing and part-time UW-Marshfield/Wood County students each year to assist them with the costs of their higher education. Funding is provided by the generosity of donors as well as the Foundation’s annual fundraising event, Food For Thought.
For the 2013-14 academic year, the University Foundation awarded 42 scholarships totaling $41,250 to students attending UW-Marshfield/Wood County.
This funds helps defray the expenses of conferences, workshops and other educational offering for our faculty and staff to stay current in their field.
Pillars for the Arts
Pillars contributions support Arts at the UW, which encompasses theatre, music and visual arts.
Contributions to the Athletic Bosster Fund are used to help pay for coaching stipends, meals for away games, and athletic and fitness equipment.
Area of Greatest Need
A special fund used for campus enhancement and emerging needs.
Supports needs in the area of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
