The Villas student housing takes shape

MARSHFIELD – Student housing at UW-Marshfield/Wood County is one step closer to becoming a reality. The Villas student housing is under construction on Fifth Street across from the campus.

The housing complex was built in a modular units and arrived in Marshfield April 29 with the first unit placed May 14. The housing complex is being built on Foundation-owned land across from UW-Marshfield/Wood County on West 5th Street, and operated by The Villas at Marshfield, a subsidiary of Bluffstone, a regional student housing provider with properties at throughout the Midwest.

This student housing complex will have 96 beds, student-centric living quarters with an on-site manager and common indoor and outdoor amenities. The living quarters will include four bedroom/two bathroom suites.  Each suite will be fully furnished with full size beds, desks and chairs in each bedroom, sofas, chairs and barstools for breakfast bars for shared areas.  Kitchens will have full size Energy-Star appliances.
