MARSHFIELD – It’s not too late for recent high school graduates and working adults alike to earn a University of Wisconsin degree. The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County is hosting its annual Summer Sizzler Open House July 10 for prospective students, families and community members to learn more about their local University of Wisconsin campus.
Community members are encouraged to visit the campus for the Summer Sizzler from 4 to 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome, and guests are invited to drop in or stay the entire evening. The Open House will feature an Information Fair, giveaways, inflatable obstacle course, kid-friendly activities, a Marauder scavenger hunt and food and refreshments. Learn more about UW-Marshfield/Wood County and what it can offer the community including, Arts at the UW season, Continuing Education, rental opportunities, library, the fitness center and more.
UW-Marshfield/Wood County provides foundation courses in more than 200 majors and guaranteed transfer to four-year UW institutions. The campus also offers the new Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences completion degree and a number of onsite bachelor’s degree programs that allow local students to complete their UW degrees without leaving Central Wisconsin. Degrees are available in such in-demand career areas as Engineering, Health Sciences, Education, Psychology and Nursing.
