Wendlandt has worked with UW Extension as the 4-H Program Advisor, Marshfield Youth Hockey Association to establish the free preschool open skate program, and most recently was an art instructor with Immanuel Lutheran school, where she won the 2012 MACCI Crystal Apple Award. She has also instructed art workshops on printmaking in Marshfield, Manitowish Waters, Mercer, Bolder Junction and St. Germain, WI. Wendlandt has served as the public relations chair for the Manito Art League for the past 10 years.
Wendlandt said she looks forward to coordination and promotion of artists and artwork during the academic year to compliment the student course work and provide educational enrichment. She’ll work with art professor and department chair Kitty Kingston in this effort.
“I'm very excited about collaborating with other art galleries, especially the New Visions Art Gallery. I'm also excited about the opportunity to network with so many talented artists and assist them in showcasing their artwork, art talks and demonstrations for the campus students, faculty and our community.”
