Statement

Ruth joined the UW-Marshfield/Wood County Library in August 1992, working as a LTE (Limited Term Employee) until 1998 when she became the Library Director.  She holds a MLS from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in English and Education from Edgewood College in Madison.  As a librarian, working with students, faculty and staff continues to make her profession a rewarding one.  Some of Ruth’s interests include participating in campus/community projects which include the UW-Marshfield/Wood County’s Food for Thought fundraiser and other campus fundraising initiatives. Being an Ambassador for the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a small business owner of A Slice of Heaven Catering, Ruth has had many opportunities to reach out to the many needs in the Marshfield community.  Some of Ruth’s passions include reading, travelling, baking and donating to many fundraisers in the Marshfield Area.
