Damian Ernest is an assistant professor of communication and theatre arts and the theatre director. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Education and a Master’s in Writing, both from Northern Michigan University; an MFA in Theatre from The University of Idaho.
Ernest was a Professor of Theatre at Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa; Instructor and Director of Theatre at Highland Community College in Highland, Kansas; Communications Instructor at The University of Idaho in Moscow.
Ernest is a four-time grant recipient from the Michigan Council of The Arts; trained and certified in Stage Combat from the Society of American Fight Directors and Dueling Arts International and has written five plays. He joins the UW-Marshfield/Wood County theatre program with many freelance theatre credits as an actor, director and designer in regional theatre and summer stock.
